Abdulkarim Amrullah, Sheikh Haji lives in 1879-1945, he was born in Maninjau,Minangkabau and died in Jakarta. He is a great scholar, a new flow figures inIndonesian Islam. In 1926 he went to Cairo to attend the congress Chilafah, on returning from there, he settled in Sungai Batang teaches religion and authored textbooks. In August 1941 hewas exiled by the Dutch colonial government to Sukabumi. After the Dutch surrender,he was allowed to move and settle in Jakarta until his death.
